Tuition & Affordability

Mountain Sun has always been committed to keeping tuition levels as affordable as possible and strive for a diverse population of children and families.

2024-2025 Annual preschool tuition (5 half days/week): $6,400

2024-2025 Annual tuition for Kindergarten through Middle School (5 full days/week): $10,800

Field Experience Fees

Field trip fees are assessed at the beginning of the school year. Parents may pay these fees according to their chosen payment plan. Students may also be responsible for additional money for field experiences through individual fundraising and entrepreneurial activities.

Kindergarten = $50

Lower Elementary = $75

Upper Elementary = $350

Middle School = $600

Payment

Tuition is due in full by July 1st, or may be paid through one of the following payment plans:

  • Two payments: Due July 1st and January 1st

  • Monthly installments: Due July 1st through May 1st (11 installments). Payment is due on the 1st of each month.

Tuition may be paid by cash, check, money order, or bank draft, as well as qualifying 529 accounts. Monthly payment plans are required to pay via automatic bank draft.

Sibling Discount

A sibling discount of 20% off tuition is offered for younger siblings of enrolled students.

Financial Assistance

Mountain Sun participates in the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program.

MSCS offers need-based internal financial assistance based on availability of funds.  We utilize an application through a separate, third party system to ensure confidentiality and equity. Contact Lindsay Skelton for more information.
