Our Campus

Mountain Sun is located on the beautiful campus of the Brevard Music Center, a wooded 180 acre campus with lakes and streams. Surrounded by nature, our students of all ages spend both structured and unstructured time outdoors daily.

Brevard, NC, is located in Transylvania County, known as the “Land of Waterfalls” for its approximately 250 waterfalls. Mountain Sun is located near Brevard’s quaint, historic downtown and directly adjacent to the Bracken Mountain Preserve. Students hike directly from their classrooms into the forest. Students also enjoy daytrips, overnight camping, and backpacking in the nearby Pisgah National Forest, Dupont State Forest, Gorges State Park, and other natural areas. Our middle schoolers have spent time canoeing on Lake Jocassee and the French Broad River.
